So since you belive you're right, go find me a picture of a Vishera die, and point out the 3rd and 4th disabled memory controllers, the 8 extra CPU cores that were disabled, and the remaining 3 HT links.

They don't have them, but have fun searching.

Dude, those are the EXACT same picture 100%. Just take the second picture you posted and flip it around 180 degrees.
Also, you keep comparing G34 Opterons when it has already been established we are not talking about G34 cores at all.

Um... Duh. One is a labeled Vishera die and the other is unlabeled. Of course they'll be exactly the same, it's the same image.

As for G34, he claimed 3 of 4 HTs disabled. Only G34 have 4 HTs.

They aren't labelled, so they aren't there right? lachen.gif

On the left side of the die are 2 hypertransport PHYs. On the top and bottom left are the other two.
G34 cpus are simply MCMs (multi chip modules) created with two vishera dies linked using hypertransport half-links.
A quad-core on G34 is two vishera dies with one module enabled per die, each die has dual channel memory. Together they have quad channel memory.

G34 = Two dies -> 1 hypertransport for NB, 2 hypertransport for MCM connection, and 3 for separate socket connection. One is disabled.
C32 = One die ->1 hypertransport link for NB and 1 for separate socket connection. Two are disabled
AM3+ = One die -> 1 hypertransport link for NB. Three are disabled.

FX and Opteron use the same die.

Kaveri will not be on AM3+ as AM3+ does not support IOMMU 2.5. AM3+, C32, G34 are dead sockets in comparison to FM2+.
