Question about i5-3550p and ASRock Z75 Pro3 OC

Hi all, first off I am new to posting the forums here, although I have followed several of them from time to time. I have very limited experience with Overclocking in which I raised FSB and manually lowered Ram speeds for stable increase in processor clock. On my current rig I simply used the built in BIOS feature that allows to unlock my base multiplier from x31 to x37 (sometimes runs @ x36) for a nice small increase in cpu clock. In my bios, there are tons of settings regarding to processor/ram/component voltages, and with my current settings for increasing the multiplier, i leave all voltage settings on "auto" so the mobo controls it. I have several questions regarding this

1) What is a good stable OC speed for my processor (i5-3550p) using my aftermarket cooler (non-liquid)?

2) If i manually adjust FSB frequency to force overclock higher than 3.7 ghz will i have to manually adjust/increase cpu core voltage or will the mobo's "auto" setting take care of the voltage it requires to run this?

3) Can i force my CAS latency from 7 to 6 (maybe even 5?) without increasing voltage to RAM?

4) Where is my weakest link/potential bottleneck? I was under the assumption I should increase my processor speed.

5) Does this mobo function @ 5.0/8.0 GTs Hyperlink Speed? That's what i gathering from ASRock's website for this mobo and had those speed listed for PCIe 2.0/3.0.

Also, something I tried earlier today. Left all DRAM settings on "auto" except for CAS latency, i set to "6". when on auto it runs @ 7, which is also what the RAM is specced at. When i did this and saved bios changes, it would not post. Got 3 beeps and shutdown. after restarting several times it finally posted and allowed me to go back into bios where i changed it back to auto.
