Ultimately, the consumer always pays for companies' stupid mistakes. This accident provides a convenient excuse for DRAM manufacturers to exploit consumers. In addition to price gouging, maybe wethey will take away limited lifetime warranties for RAM like hard drive warranties after the Thailand flooding!

I remember the good old days when you use to be able to purchase a 2x4 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 kit for <$50 USD. frown.gif
