so i've been busy with the holidays and css. more of one then the other and i finally got around to OCing a lil bit.

E6400 @ 2.6ghz 1:1 ratio.

tomorrow im gonna try and get around to zip-tieing the 120mm fan that came with the scythe into another 3 of the front bays. rig a spare 80mm up in front of the ram. and pull off the HSF and reapply the AS5, this time using only a small dot (about the size of a grain of rice) in the center.

the temps kinda worry me, i seen it hit 39C while orthos was running, coming from about 23C idle.

even though its prolly not needed at this point im gonna let orthos run while im asleep. its 4AM thats 3 nights in a row ive been up past 4 and gotten up at 10 in the morning.

anything else i should worry about?

edit: how do you guys upload your pics so that their not smaller then the resolution at which they were taken. ive tried photobucket and imageshack and both have made them smaller then the 1280x1024 they were taken at. i even tried the resize option on imageshack, and it made it 700 somethin by somethin.

As you get higher in Clockspeed, start checking on chipset voltages. Those things can be the silent killer for an OC.

ok so i got her to 3.44 and was gettin 45C under load. been gettin 45 since about 2.8. and it errored out on orthos after 2 and a half minutes. heres a screen shot.

so i dont know what i need to do now, raise vcore? screw with ram settings? im at a loss, i know nothing besides upping the FSB. i know about upping voltages and stuff but i just dont knwo when it needs done. my ram is in 1:1 with 5-5-5-15. i doubt its that though since its ddr2 1000 and its only runnin at 860.

welp, tried raising the vcore to 1.3875 from 1.3750 and it still gave an error.

im at a loss as to what i should do.

I got up to 460 fsb on all auto try that out, and see if that can get you further. Im stuck at 460 though. I dont think I would want to go further for any other purpose than a benchmark.
