Need some help getting an Ubuntu set up for folding

Thread Starter
I'm kind of new to folding on Linux, so I used the finstall method of installing. Everything seems to have gone okay but then:
Code:
~$ foldingathome/folding status

['folding' ver. 6.3]

Status of running FAH client(s) on 4 processor(s):
Status on all possible FAH client(s):
fah6 (pid 4265 4281 4295 4307) is running
!!! Strange - No FAH cores downloaded !!!
Status on all possible 'FaH' scripts:
FaH (pid 4261 4277 4291 4305) is running

Status of FAH client(s): OK

At first I thought this was normal and it just took a while to get a work unit but now it has been almost a week and no units have been received or completed. Am I missing something obvious here?

Idk which guide you followed, you're using the older v6 client. I have been using the one on Stanfords site lately, found here, and it has worked well for me so far.

On mymain computer (Mint 15) I have installed both the FahClient (the software which handles the actual fahcore which does the folding) and FahCOntrol (from which you control your clients) and on several others (Ubuntu 12.10 Server) I have only installed FahClient and control them all from my main.

If you want a bit more control check out this guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/1306284/ubuntu-easy-install-client-v7 it will let you choose where to install the program for example.
