So that display should theoretically be able to run 4K 60 Hz right now single display mode with a 290X. Unless AMD hasn't unlocked that in the drivers or something.
Now you guys want me to go out and buy that $5,500 display?
I think your already been to avs but here is the link anyways.
Ive seen it in my local store and can see the backlight banding that some people have complained about. I think it would be great with the pc for gaming but you would have to look past the banding. I would have bought one but the price here is too high and they only just released it here. I love my Sony x900 65" but so does my missus and she has claimed it. Hence why im trying a curved screen with projector setup till the gpus and more monitors become available mid to late next year.
Also we dont know if the New 290x cards can currently do the job. We need someone with a wt600 and 290x to test. You could be the first in the world again to another setup.
I think with the higher 600mhz controller you could oc it to work on the tv but im unsure of that hccp handshake stuff.Edited by hatlesschimp - 11/18/13 at 1:31pm
