With most probable just HDMI 2.0 it will do for just half of users with amd cards ( 290 ones at that). Unless Seiki follows Panasonic example and will put in also DP. Or we'll have to wait for unknown time for appearance of DP>HDMI2 adapters if there will be such sooner then new gpus.

For those that don't want your computer really close to your 4K display, these guys say their cable should do 4K @ 60 Hz at decent lengths and doesn't break the bank:

I may get that if I decide to pull the trigger on this Panny. I just know as soon as I buy it it will drop down to like 4 grand due to the banding issue. thinking.gif

10m wouldn't cut it for me. My machines are in a rack in another room. I currently use a 65 foot HDMI cable to drive my 50 inch seiki.

Oh ya 15m, sorry. That's like 45 feet. If you go any longer I am sure you will need fiber optic. You sure you couldn't get your source within 45 feet? lol

Well gefen has a 75 foot copper cable for $300. If I ever do end up switching to something that uses DP I would probably buy/use that rather than spend $800+ a fiber based one.

No way 40 feet would cut it. it is going through the closet from one of the bedrooms in my house that contains the computer in a full height rack all the way to the master bedroom on a desk pretty far away from that wall. just not gonna happen in my situation. Good to know how expensive those DP cables are if I ever go that route.
