Seasonic RMA

So I have this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151088

I am trying to RMA it as my replacement came today.

This PSU fried my CPU and itself.......

Haven't tried the graphics card yet. My mobo is fine so x-fingers.

Anyways, I entered the serial number and tried to select the model (can't find SS-650KM Active PFC F3 on the drop down) but I get an invalid serial number entered..... this PSU was bought brand new from Newegg when it was on sale about a year ago...

Not liking Seasonic ATM no matter what people have to say I'm sorry... mad.gif

If it matters http://www.seasonicusa.com/RMABeta/Default.htm

Any ideas?

Thank you... smile.gif

You can try emailing them. Also it is in the drop down as SS-650KM3.

How did it die? Seasonic is one of the best manufactures out there, and are the OEM for most major high end desktop power supplies. Only Delta makes a better unit than Seasonic.

I installed a new fan controller a week ago and one of the unused male fan headers made contact with the back of my motherboard when I tried to put my side panel back on I think..

Computer shut off then turned back on and case fans, hdds would work but I had no video out no matter if I tried integrated or dedicated graphics. Tried my PSU in friends comp and wouldn't display video. Tried my processor in his comp with his good PSU and no video. So I lost my CPU and have a faulty PSU now. Hope the graphics card is fine.

Think the PSU has built in protection against shorts or whatever? Guess not... who knows maybe it was the time for it to go bad.

Got new CPU and PSU today and computer displays video and I'm in BIOS on intel graphics, gonna try my 780 soon...
