looking for some tech advice

Thread Starter
Hello folks, looking for some advice on quality parts for a build. ive been trolling the boards for a bit looking pretty much everywhere. there are so many opinions and never exactly what i want to know. SO, I'm finaly asking you all (the experts).

Budget... 5k or less, i want to build this myself
looking to be able to upgrade with ease in the future, IE. Mobo that supports quad possibliy and SLI. altho I'm already pretty sold on the 8800 GTX.
here is a list of what i have so far, please flame away and make suggestions. i appreciate the help

Case http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811133154
Mobo http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813188009
GPU http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814130072
Power http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817702005
CPU http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819115001
HD http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822144701
DVD http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16827131039
Sound http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16829102005

now with (cooling paste) and XP, $2857

new widescreen monitor and keyboard will come later so not included in budget but for right now i see no need to get another 8800 or the 6700quad, hence i left those out for the future, also really dont know if RAID is what i need.

thanks again in advance folks...

piii $5000 budget amazing, im jealous
i would suggest you also add phase cooling, and this rig would just fly off
Raid is good and it is what you need

With ram i would suggest 2-4gb Crucial Ballistix
