Hello everyone, I just came across an OEM FX-4100 processor that does not post. I installed it on my Asus M5A88-V EVO motherboard along with 2x4GB DDR3 1600 rams. The cpu fan does spins up and keep spinning, but there is no video output on the screen. The board is tested working with my fx-6350 and fx-8350. I guess the fx-4100 is defective. Is there anyway to check what is wrong with the cpu? For your reference, all pins are good. From my experience, this happens when my fx-8350 and fx-6350 have a missing pin that happen to be mem_clk related pins according to the official pin socket layout from AMD. Once I soldered back the missing pin, both post fine. However, this fx-4100 does not miss any pin but still gives no video out. Any idea?
