not so sure for me... some of my games don't scale well others refuse to use crossfire at all.. and I get barely passable fps in one of them if I don't turn the graphics all the way up... each of my 6850 cards has 960 shaders (barts) the new card has over 1700 alone... the 6850's OC well up to 850mhz, stock is 775, this new card is a gigahertz edition.. and according to all accounts can be OC'd easily to 1100mhz... that and it has more ram than the two 6850's put together... so I may be wrong, but I think I won't lose much if any on games that do scale well, but I expect to gain a much better experience on those that don't.
I will let you know how it works out. this is a crap video of me testing my two cards in xfire at stock clocks... I can get about 10-15 fps more by OC'ing to 850 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmPtxrL0CPo&feature=youtu.be
if all goes well I will be putting my 6850's up for sale if anyone wants them.. they OC really well.. check out the temps at full load @ 850mhz core.Edited by Minotaurtoo - 9/9/13 at 6:22pm
