But for your argument's sake, there are people who limit their fps to 45 to have an extremely stable gaming moment and even prefer it to over 60hz which can be unstable in their rig or so. Most of us here in OCN try to achieve greatness. Hence most only buy 1440p panels because they can OC them to 96 or so. And for most of us in here 30hz is just for consoles. Again can not speak for everyone. But again MOST players in here also have an IPS monitors and are competitive gamers. I AM NOT a competitve gamer because I don't play in any tournaments but I know many in various 1440p threads whom are competitive gamers.
it's an analogous argument. I'd put the point where motion clarity and input lag improvements stop being beneficial much higher than 120hz. You can still see the individual frames at 120hz; it's not even close to what your eyes actually see. I suspect most of these competitive players playing at 60Hz in favor of 120Hz just aren't that great to begin with, if they are playing twitch shooters.
Do these competitive gamers who play at 1440p play twitch shooters?
2-) Ok than let us conclude that for CS 1.6, TN panel is better. I have no issue with that. But CS 1.6 is an extremely low fraction of games out there.
Yeah, that was the point that I was trying to make. things like CS 1.6, GO, Quake Live, etc. benefit from 120Hz pretty well.
damn, all the good ones are married.
