RAM placement question

I have 8gb low profile 30nm samsung green ram 1600mhz . It is well known for good overclocking and now RAM prices have shot up today for this stuff ! three times the price i paid blinksmiley.gif

Anyways most people can get this unassuming looking RAM to 2800Mhz! from 1600Mhz and yet if i change mine to 1866 it wont boot ??

So i am wondering if it is due to where i have the ram sticks? they are separate to each other in two identical color lanes (so theres a lane gap between each stick) would this effect it?

Im pretty disappointed TBH as I run a Trinity APU and even a small boost to 1866 would give me another 10-15% performance sad-smiley-002.gif
