Are the AD700's supposed to be like this? =s - Page 2

AD700's were perfect for me right out of the box. My friends usually tell me they are the best headphones they've ever worn. I personally love them

The more I wear them the more I see that as a feature and not a flaw. I can see it was meant to be like this for more of an airy sound, and to let air in to keep your ears from sweating which is really nice.

I am really liking them now a few hours in already, though that pressure under the ears is sore and a little fatiguing.

Oh well, I guess I overreacted, what can I say one of my many flaws.

You bought open headphones, what you want are closed headphones.

In terms of comfort I think beyerdynamic are the best, but the DT770 is a little outside your price range at $170. Sennheiser is pretty good on comfort too, but most of their mid-range headphones are open design.

If you're willing to try another pair of AT headphones, ATH-M50 are usually the go-to closed design under $150. Look at the Sony MDR-V6, which is closed, $90, and has a nice variety of earphone cups that will fit.

I have the ad700's and no issues at all with the way they fit. I do have a rather large head for my size though. In fact the ad700's are the most comfortable pair of cans I have ever worn without a doubt.

This is normal with open backed cans.

Not sure if you came across this before, it solved comfort problems with many AD700 owners.
