Yeah, I agree. Plus, it need to be released soon. Not in a year. When Intel 14nm hits the market, AM3+ will be completely irrelevant, demand will be effectively zero.
I own three AM3+ motherboards. They are far from perfect, there are much better Intel boards that I like. I've been tempted to throw all my AMD crap in the trash and just buy Intel. Keeping my AM3 stuff alive and upgrading it feels like throwing more money away. I think it would be a mistake for AMD to release anything for AM3+, their resources needs to go towards the future, not a hopelessly outdated and practically dead socket.
Yeah, AM3+ should be dropped in favor for FM2+/FM3 and FX moved to this platform.
