120hz 1080p or 60hz 1440p

Thread Starter
I'm really unsure of what to buy,
I'm looking as Asus 120hz monitors or qnix2710
taking hardware out of the question as I will upgrade to high end as soon as and new generation comes out ,
I play mainly action paced games n some not,
At 60hz now to me everything seems smooth but I never tried 120hz myself so I can't judge if I will see difference
I do love having more workspace or higher resolution but that purely because I used crappy monitors before and I will be running triple or quad screens in the end so I will have enough workspace even at 1080p x3/4

personally I don't know what motion blur is nor im I sure what it is
Would really appreciate if you could tell me benefits of each and which you think id enjoy more

Note I don't care too much about colors as long as theyr as good as my current TN panel which is a mid end so im sure both will be fine

Lemme just make this simple for you.

Go with the Qnix.

Here is a thread I had started a while ago giving my feedback.

I fist had a 1080p 120hz Acer monitor

Than 1440p Yamakası Catleap

than 1080p 120hz Asus

And now Dell u2713hm 1440p monitor.

Though that thread is my personal feedback. User experience will differ from a person to another.

Link?

I almost pulled the trigger on a Catleap but figured I would do some extra research.

Catleaps are no longer relevant today due to the arrival of the Qnix QX2710 and X-Star DP2710 (same monitor) - 27" 1440p 120Hz PLS for $280.

Yeah don't buy Catleap though. QNIX is the new thing if you want to get a Korean monitor.

A lot of folks think pixel perfect is a jip because they don't have time to check every monitor anyway.

^^ This. I bought two screens, overclocked both in 10minutes. Two monitors at 1440p at 120Hz= win
All other screens are completely overpriced and do not compare to these screens since no one really makes a 1440p@120Hz.

Get it from green-sum on eBay (free 2-3 shipping).
Or if you want to go with a USA reseller, try http://www.ipsledmonitors.com/ They have a good return policy and are also based in the US.
