It of course can be safely assumed that any researcher attempting to discover the nature of a powerful government does not have the resources to overcome the will and means of said government when attempting to gather information about it. Therefore, our only course of action is to use our more primitive mechanisms of understanding, such as intuition, assumption, and pattern recognition to form conclusions about how such a government works. As is evident, this has mixed results among the populace, and the lack of a coherent reporting system on such matters leads to communicative distortion.
Even more safely assumed, however, is the fact that if you abide the alternative (to believe that this government adheres to the mechanisms which are mandated by it's publicly reported mission statement, and thus already believe information which has been proven on many occasions to be inaccurate), you're better off not trying to do science in the first place.
Yes but intuition can be fooled, assumption can be clouded and pattern recognition can be trained. There for I would put forth that to lower ones scope on what might be with such simple direction is short sighted and even reckless. If not an excuse for those less prone to critical thinking. Also nature doesn't need to conceal or have will for the scientist to simply be ignorant of an unmeasured force. This is my point on that matter. Math is the same way, it can attempt to reveal the way the universe works but will always be limited cause it requires a blind eye to the fact that no system is ever isolated. What we know as a Law of nature might be completely wrong in the next universe.
I really think we have brains for a reason. If it was sensation of emotion only that guided us we might have become a galaxy of floating babies all laughing crying and pooping at the same time. Which might not be too far off from today, lol. But I think the point I'm wanting to make here is we can go back and forth about if something wrong is happening and get caught up in the discussion or we can actually do something from moment to moment when the opportunities arise to effect a positive change in the life of others. Which has rebounding and boundless effects on reality. Part of the reason we live in a world that makes the individual feel oppressed by a power majority is due to the way we have grownup and learned inside of a system of society that basically does just that. If we are more correct with the way we treat one another that change will reflect in a change in our personal feeling of security. Which in turn will cause fewer oppressors to rise out of the whole. No one person is forcing the problems of the world on us. It is each persons own lack of foresight and compassion that furthers the wave of human discontentment upon us all. We have all been raised in our own misunderstandings of others and it has caused a ton of damage. And the more we experience it seems the more misunderstandings seem to scar us and others. I think this is what you would call becoming opinionated. There are some very real problems coming to raise their beastly heads. We all know that. Banks push a system that is by nature fiat, Our food supply has been tainted by GMO, Water is becoming more and more polluted, The technologies we all love so much are taking us into an uncertain future, Air quality is poor in all major civilized areas, Sea levels are raising rapidly, Cancer is literally an epidemic, We are exhausting the ocean of life, Animals are going extinct like crazy, There is a hole in the Ozone, Wireless communication might be poisonous, Fukashima is in full melt down and is poisoning the earth/air/water, Men have created weapons that can wipe out 95% of the worlds population, Our lands are covered with mining installations, Drilling wells, Fracking wells, Nuclear power plants, Chemical factories, Bio/Chem warfare facilities, Dams, Personal privacy is no longer a right recognized by the US, Politics might as well be a late night gameshow, and TV is still turning brains into cotton candy.
Despite these and many more issues. We have over 7billion able minds that given the right motivation could solve each and everyone of these issues with out argument. The real problem I think the majority of people are having is syncing their critical thinking with positive and open feeling/action. You can feel positive about the outcome of the world, but if you aren't putting that compassion to practice in your thinking and behavior then you are self defeating and not seeing through your intent. Or you may be very critical in your thinking of the world and logical about it, but if you are disheartened then you will most likely fall into being idle about the issue's resolve. Either way you are unable to make a real step forward. Perhaps for many it's simply that when they are done with their venting of worldly discontent that they are purged of the feeling of needing to take any action or critical thinking at all on the subject and will wait for their worry to well up again, and vent once more in an endless cycle of complacency.
All I know is somewhere between the lesson and the drive home the message seems to be lost. Even for the teacher! You can teach a man the reason he is in chains but if his only exposure is ever the crack of sun light through stone bricks then what will he ever bother to put into practice? What part of the lesson will he make a part of his character to grow from? So that he may free himself and others from bondage. This is where I think hope and courage play a huge role. Having the courage to follow what is Just in a land sown in darkness and misunderstanding takes an enormous amount of hope for the future. Not only for yourself but for the very reality we all live in. If we can't guard our hope with a real resolve of positive vision then we let fall away the lessons that would let us seed peace between one another. And in turn the global community.
