At the risk of sounding stupid...

Thread Starter
My rig is currently cooled by the Antec H2O 920 and although I just found quieter fans for it... it only cools my 3930k and nothing else. So, I decided to do a full custom loop and have already ordered the following...

360 UT60
240 UT60
XSPC Raystorm Intel CPU block
XSPC XPowerII Mobo block
2 EK DCII waterblocks to cool my (2) ASUS HD7970-DC2-3GD5 cards

Here's my dumb question...

Is there prep work that needs to be done with the radiators (like flushing them out, etc) when putting this thing together?

Or perhaps is there a good beginners guide here that you could steer me to? I want to get this right the first time if possible

I'm also planning on adding 2 or 4 more 360 rads to the system as I have a HAF X case and plan to mate it to 2 of the new Stacker 915 cases as water box pedestals. But that's the topic for another discussion. Thanks

Yes you will want to flush the radiators out before using them, whether they are new or used. New they have flux and other debris in them from assembly and used they may have anything in them from oxidation to bacteria. You can flush them initially using warm tap water and then finally with distilled. There are many different ways to accomplish this. Here is one way:

Flushing Your Block & Rads Clean
