Temperatures on stock speeds?

Hi. Newbie here!

This was the first time I've installed an aftermarket cooler, so I am not sure if the temperatures are ok; I might have used too much paste (even though I followed a tutorial).

Mobo: MSI Z77A GD45
CPU: i5 3570k
Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo rev. 2

Idle: ~32 celsius
Load: ~52 celcius

Both on stock speeds. Are these great / okay / bad? I've also noticed that 4th core is always the hottest, is that normal?

Thank you.

Hello! Welcome to the forum!!

Those are pretty good temps for that cooler. You can try taking it off and putting it back on, but you really don't need to, those temps are fine. Also these CPUs are in no danger of overheating until they get to around 90C, so you are well withing the limit!

Having one or more cores be higher temperatures is normal. It is usually caused by uneven mounting of the internal heat spreader of the CPU, but it is completely normal and you should be fine!
