Need help determining if ram settings need to be reset

Thread Starter
Ever since I lost a stick of ram and replaced all of it with 8GB of KHX16C9B1RK2/8X I have had the worst time. I cant pin whether its a memory problem or what. Today I have been getting "AMD Video Driver" stopped working errors. And to make matters worse I dont know if ram is running what it should be. I have raised the voltage to 1.66v to try to stablize it. Has anyone else had any issues like this that might be able to shed some light on it for me? CYRUS-PC.txt 73k .txt file

I get an error when trying to view your attachment.

Anyway, if problems started when you swapped memory, it's highly probable that the memory or memory settings are the issue. Manual testing and adjustment is highly recommended. Do not rely on SPD/XMP values.

Ugh, the worst case of instability i have seen, everything's turned upside - down.
Sorry couldn't resist, Did you try changing the memory to other slots ?,Some MBs are particular about that. Also a memory check would be good thing to do, it would not be unheard of to get a bad mem stick.

I ran memtest86 and the windows memory diagnostics as well. Didnt find any problems. And did try the other slots for memory and no luck. I downloaded BLueSCreenView as well as the windows Debugger to try to pinpoint the source. The memory is the only hardware that is new due to the fact 1 of 2 sticks of memory i had stick died. I made sure not to mix the memory and bought an 8gb kit.
