Looking for Wireless Headphones

Hey guys,

I am in need of some assistance. My work has put the task of finding new wireless headphones on me.

I am a Simulation Technician at a Hospital and during simulations I often am required to go into different rooms while still wearing a headset.

Here are my needs:
Wireless Headset with Mic
I don't care what wireless technology is used except for one important requirement.
It needs to be able to plug into a jack for sound and mic and then go wireless. It can't be USB or anything like that. It needs to have a 3mm jack for sound and recording and then go wireless if that makes sense?

We have about 10 terminals that I constantly need to switch between sound and recording so 3mm jack is a must.

Is there anything like that out there? If I need to explain myself a little better that's no problem either.

3.5 mm jack on wireless headset? that's quite a lot harder than if you could use USB. and a quick google search doesn't seem to have anything on converting a USB headset over to a 3.5mm jack setup, only the other way around. If you had bluetooth maybe a bluetooth headset would be an option but im guessing since you need 3.5mm jacks there is no bluetooth.

*EDIT* Literally every wireless headset ive seen requires bluetooth or a USB port

What about 3.5mm jacks that attach to bluetooth? Is that even possible? I just need to plug the 2 jacks in and then it can be wireless with any technology I don't really care.

well... i know of one way to do it. but its really expensive and you will have two packs strapped to your belt.

So my next question is how much do you have to spend?

Not all that much, around $150. It's a little flexible but has to stay in that general ballpark.

hmm... i was thinking you could do a system based around a guitar wireless link but i don't think its possible for 150 bucks. I honestly don't think theres a way to do what you are asking.

In any event, my idea was you use a standard headset, convert the 3.5mm plugs to quarter inch plugs, plug it into a pair of wireless guitar links (reciever for the headphone part and sending unit for the mic) then convert the quarter inch plugs on the end to 3.5mm and plug it in. No idea how bulky or expensive that will be but its really the only way i can think of to get what you want
