Best Mobo for FX-6300

Thread Starter
Please help me choose between the next motherboards for the FX-6300:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
Asrock 970 Extreme3
Asrock 970 Extreme4
MSI 970A-G46
Asus M5A97 R2.0

Please also state why it would be best to go with one of these. I'm planning on OC'ing this CPU as much as i can.
At first i chose the Asrock 970 Extreme3, but after checking the other mobo's in that price range i just didn't know wich one was the BEST.

Thanks smile.gif

Dont bother going to the MSI board or the extreme 4, terrible board (to be honest the extreme 4 is a GOOD board but due to all the bugs its a no). Ill go for the extreme 3.

Will you be overclocking and whats your budget? IF you could place another 20 quid you can get your self a gigabyte 990-fxa-ud3 and thats a beast even though the bios isnt all that lol its still a beast smile.gif

Do you use more than on GPU? If so, you may be better served with a 990FX. Gigabyte and Asus are both good so go with whichever is cheapest.

Still doubting between the Asrock 970 extreme3 and the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3(i've read some bad stuff about asus RMA and MSI in general biggrin.gif)
Is it true the GA has 8+2 phase and the asrock hasn't ?
970 extreme 3 has 4+1 power phases. Gigabyte has 8+2.

If your going to be overclocking the gigabyte board is better due to the 8+2 phase then get the GA-970A-UD3P

None of those:Crosshair 5
I know where you can get an m5a99x-pro or evo or something for around $65 shipped.
990FX chipset would be better,or 890 for that matter..m4a89gtd-pro biggrin.gif ..Crosshair IV.
All better than the boards you have listed.
Crosshair V is THE AMD board.

I know. But the reason i listed only these is because i can't buy any board that costs more as those. And i'm in europe... everything costs more here.

I'll be going for the GA-970UD3

thanks for the input smile.gif
