Edit: Thread has gone from CCC settings to trying to figure out why I keep getting lackluster benchmark scores.

the only times i use CCC are when i need to adjust overscan or enable/disable crossfire. other than those, i use AB and Trixx to oc during benching.

oh, yes, i also make sure AMD overdrive is disabled in CCC.

i keep my gpus at stock and oc my cpus to achieve the minimum fps or smooth game play i desire.

I can't find where to disable crossfire in CCC.

This was my i5 4670k & 7950 1090 / 1400 Mhz
Heaven Benchmark
FPS: 28.9
Score: 728
Min FPS: 7.1
Max FPS 65.2

This was my i3 2100 and OCed GTX 660
Heaven Benchmark
FPS: 26.7
Score: 673
Min FPS: 12
Max FPS 61.9

But why would my minimum FPS with my 7950 be so crappy?

the only time the crossfire feature will show up is when Windows/CCC sense that there are multi-gpus installed. there are none to disable since your system only runs one gpu.

Minimum fps in Heaven and Valley depends on when you start the benchmark at times. your oc in this case might be unstable and this is the purpose of these benchmarks to compare with similar gpus. heaven does rely on the cpu but not much. here is my stock and oc'd results.

stock (900/1250)

1230/1750

try to start the benchmark after a minute or 2.

ramp up your fan settings to about 55%.

I assume CPU does not play a large factor in this at all considereding my minimum fps was better with my i3 setup. Would you do a 1090 / 1400 run for me? I'd like to compare. Thanks thumb.gif

I believe I'm running 13.8 drivers not sure if that is playing a part in this. Really hope i'm not missing anything in my settings. Did you install the AMD drivers but not CCC?

something ain't right with your system. here is my score to compare. make sure you are using the same settings.

i have another monitor that is also 1080 but i get a lower score from it testing my 7970. somehow it runs this bench and C2 bench (adrenalin) in 30Hz. weird. switched monitors and it was fine.

anyway, if you can run a different bench like 3DMark11 and let's see what's up.

edit: i am using 13.5, btw. 13.8 borked C2, so i went back. and guess what? my amd rig shows CCC. i may have disabled CCC in startup programs in my intel rig. does not matter . . . i don't use it.

I see that 13.10Betas are out I might give them a go and see what happens. But I'll do a 3DMark11 run as well. I'll keep you posted and thanks.

Okay so ran an update I dunno how I am not coming close to your scores. I uninstalled my last drivers and installed the 13.10 betas. I did get double the low fps though.

Going to run 3d mark 11 basic centered:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7144366

SCORE:

P8205 with AMD Radeon HD 7950(1x) and Intel Core i5-4670K

Graphics Score 8256
Physics Score 7927
Combined Score 8260

I tried raising my power limit to max 20 and it did better but running Heaven made it hit 86C so I wont be doing that again.

One thing odd I see is GPU Load under Show Highest reading is 143% Seems odd, is that normal?
