Hello OCN! I am here to ask you on Razer peripherals, I have other posts regarding different Razer peripherals, and I want your help to pick one of my two choices in each category for me! Please do not post about how much you "hate" Razer or had bad experiences with Razer, of how you would recommend another product I am specifically set on Razer for other reasons.

Check out these other links for my other Razer peripheral polls!
Razer Taipan vs Razer DeathAdder 2013
Razer Tiamat (7.1/2.2) vs Razer Kraken (7.1/Pro)
Razer Invicta vs Razer Vespula vs Razer Goliathus (Speed/Control)
Razer Orbweaver vs Razer Tartarus

It is basically a preference type of deal between these two keyboards. I personally do like using chiclet style keyboards but the deathstalker is just not worth it. If price is not an issue and you like chiclet style keyboards than go for it. If you like the mechanical keyboard than go with the blackwidow, but I warn you it is quite loud. If you want to go for that type of keyboard get the "stealth" edition where it is much quieter. To sum it up I'll just make a short list.

Blackwidow
Mechanical keys (loud unless you go with the stealth edition)
Backlit
Cheaper

Deathstalker
Chiclet keys
Backlit
LCD screen (if you use multiple monitors you can see most of your applications anyways, there is a minimal amount of applications atm for the use of this screen. It may provide extra macro features but using a Razer Naga I have found that it provides more than enough macro abilities.)

It's 2 different type of keyboard like the guy above said. My brother has the DeathStalker and I have the BWU. Honestly I'd not hesitate to get another BWU. I'm not a fan of any particular brand but it's a great mechanical keyboard. I just can't see spending so much on a non-mech KB like the DeathStalker.

better buy both because one is bound to break

Dawnblade... If your getting the Orbweaver (I posted in that thread about that) than it almost doesnt matter. Try typing on both of them as Razer does not use "Full Size keys on there keyboards. They are slightly narrower than most keyboards - a slightly tall rectangle as apposed to a square if you will. That said if you get a Blackwidow make sure to get the NEWEST version of the Ultimate as the other models have had issues in the past. Just saying.

The key size and only having 5 Macro keys is why I did not buy an Ultimate and got the Logitech G510S instead. It has 18 macro keys with 3 profiles to choose from. Also has a screen to display FPS, Temps, Stats Ect. Once you have a gaming keypad on a gaming PC you will not use the rest of the keyboard nearly as much. Unless you also use the same computer for school work, word processing, blogging ect. I am not saying to buy a different company keyboard, just suggesting try them out and see what you like and buy the least expensive one that meets your needs and feels right.
