Won't boot from SSD after BIOS update (ASROCK Z77 EXTREME 4)

I have an SSD and a Hard drive, but i have OS on both of them, the hard drive has the OS only as a backup. After i updated my BIOS on my asrock extreme4 z77 that i downloaded from the asrock site my pc keeps booting into the hard drive. I don't know why but i when i keep going into boot options and put the kingston (SSD) as default it just keeps going straight into the hard drive but not SSD. Right now each time i want to boot up into the SSD i have to select it manually, would switching sata cables fix the problem? What should i do about it?
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
SP1 installed on SSD
No service packs on HDD

Oh and also the SSD won't show in boot priorities or something like that in the BIOS. only HDD and dvd reader :S

Edit: I switched SATA cables and its booting directly into SSD fine. I wonder why it didnt need that before updating BIOS o.o
