So I am about to build myself a grand new rig, and I want to try my hand at the custom liquid cooling loop. I have used a closed loop before, but I wanna take my new rig to the next level. I do have a budget and the 4770k seems to be the more reasonable option for a processor. I'm just wondering if anyone has thoughts on whether or not a custom loop is overkill for the 4770k. I have been reading that overclocking that chip is a bit of a crap shoot and so I almost feel that the custom loop is unnecessary if the overclocking potential of that chip is only so-so.
