Cpu fan error

When I start my computer it beeps and says "Cpu fan error"

I have no idea about how to find my specs and stuff but I know it's something with asus .-.

A friend made this computer for me and im really ****ty with computers so any help possible would be appreciated! =)

1) Open case, turn on PC
2) See if fan is still spinning on CPU heatsink
3) ???
4) Profit

Pop the case open and make sure the fan is plugged in. I don't suppose you have a spare fan?

I had the same acouple days back it was cause I didnt have a fan conneted to the cpu fan header on the mother board .

Oh and btw it randomly worked after I had unplugged all cables for a day. But when I restarted it it stopped working again frown.gif

oh and before i see the message the sound that the computer makes (wich I suppose is the fan) kinda sways from loud to low

Well... I opened the case and checked if it was still spinning and it was.
However in the bios menu (not sure what its called) i noticed it says the cpu temp, Is over 80 degrees celcius. Could this be a clue?
