I7 3770k At 4.5Ghz

Thread Starter
Hi,

I currently have 3770k 4.5ghz with Hyper threading enabled at 1.180 voltage, Was gonna ask for the people who have 3770k running BF3 is it good to have HT off or on? I currently have Two 770's in sli mode? Please let me know

I've heard that BF3 benefits from it on. However, it could be different from one system to the next, even if the CPU is the same. So, I recommend comparing for yourself in order to get the absolute definitive answer.

I went through this sorta dilemma with my 3770K, but I finally came to the conclusion that turning off hyper-threading would only reduce performance, or at best case scenario, keep it the same. Before de-lidding I ran at 4.5GHz with HT on, but turned HT off to run at 5GHz. I went back down because I was surprised to find HT gave more of a performance boost than expected. It depends on what it is you're going to be using the CPU for at the end of the day though, so do some tests, but my personal advice would be to leave it on.
