Parking cores on i7 3610qm

It's a laptop and i have 3 cores which are parked. I was wondering if the life of the cores would get hurt anyway or the battery life would be affected by unparking these cores?

It will reduce battery life and increase heat, but won't do any damage. Those cores will automatically unpark themselves when you need the power anyway.
