Appraisals: i7-2700K, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600, Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3, Laptop

Thread Starter
So I've hit a bit of a financial rut while starting a new job, so I'm going to basically swap down to a lesser system in the meantime.

And on the upside of things, I have a company laptop that I get free reign over, so I don't need my 7 year old Vostro anymore.

So here are the things I need appraised if you would be so kind:

  • i7-2700K- I've had this up to 4.2 or 4.5ghz, but due to temps I took it back down. I haven't really bothered with overclocking it since then. I've gotten old and lost the drive I guess. Actually that's a lie, being an adult sucks and having to upgrade to expensive cooling solutions is hard now.
I've seen these go for ~ $230 + shipping on Ebay. Is this out of line?
  • Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 - I've upgraded the BIOS to the latest version, and I even have a spare bios that ASUS sent me at one point (I fried the original BIOS because of me being dumb and not realizing how EFI systems work. I ordered a new BIOS and it ended up being the wrong model [It's for a P8Z68-V Pro/GEN3, but it works just fine in the board.]) Board works great, I have the I/O plate and board, and the original box.
  • Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 4x4GB - See them here.

I'd like to get a couple of appraisals...one of them would be for all 3 of those items combined, and the other would be them individually.

I'd include a Coolermaster Hyper212+ heatsink with the bundle, with the fan mounts but no fans (I don't know where the original fan is, and I'm not giving away my ultra-kazes).

The last thing I'd want appraised is my Dell Vostro 1500.

Here are the specs:
  • Upgraded CPU to a C2D T9300
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 160GB HDD
  • 1920x1200 screen (In a 15.4" Laptop!), pulled from a lid assembly I bought that went to a Latitude D620.
  • Nvidia 8600M GT (256MB DDR2)
  • Has a COA for Vista Home Basic, but I've basically ran Linux on it for the last 5 years of its life.
  • 9 cell battery, still gets ~2-3hrs of life.

Laptop was bought in Fall of 2007, so it's aesthetically kind of beat up. The battery has a crack on the side of it, it's cosmetic only. It's been like this for around...I dunno 5 years? You can see inside the battery.

It's missing one of the rubber screw covers around the screen, and the bottom magnesium plate is slightly bent on the front corner, causing the screw to break the mount loose. The screw on that side basically holds the speaker to the plastic top cover.

Other than the cosmetic issues, the laptop functions 100%. All of the front volume/play/stop/pause buttons work, the keyboard is in good shape, the touchpad/buttons are good...everything. The HDD is in good shape as well, and last I checked had no bad sectors or anything.

Thanks guys!
