Well I got a 780 classified. My brother wanted a 780 so we traded and I paid him the difference for the cards. Ready to start clocking this bad boy.

Whats the best way to start? I tried doing the volt mod in command prompt thing but got invalid so I still don't understand when that is supposed to be used.

EDIT: Alright, bios is on and I have downloaded the classified volt tool. Do I just set NVVDD to 1.35 and apply it? And do I leave the other 2 options alone?

Another edit: I can't seem to get the voltage up to 1.2. Even giving it +100 mV in afterburner still leaves it at 1.15.

As a side note, I miss the DCII cooler.

You have to use the Classy voltage tool, not AB or PX!
Here is the latest version: Classified_v2.0.4.3.zip 203k .zip file

GPU (NVVDD) OverVoltage
Memory (FBVDD/Q) OverVoltage
PEXVDD PLL Voltage Measurement

So:

NVDD is voltage for GPU

FBVDD is Memory voltage

PEXVDD is PCIExpress Voltage

PWM Freq. is used if you have crashes at high clocks

Thanks. I had v2 of that.

I still want to use AB for the over clocking right? just not the voltage? Should I disable voltage control in the AB settings? And using the AB monitoring my voltage wasn't changing regardless of what I did in the classified program.

Thanks for your help.

Use AB for clock increase, not the voltage, yes you can disable it, but you cant "see" the voltage as the drivers do not report anything more than 1,212V only with a DDM or a Ebot you would be able to check the voltages real time, but the tool works, so set the voltage (then the clocks) you are comfortable with (the tool with the 780 classy goes to 1,35V max ) water is preferable for max voltage, on air depends on the temps you experience and dont worry about the VRM's they are sturdy, worry about the temps more! thumb.gif

Sorry for the newbie question, but I definently don't want to brick or burn my card lol. Will this work with the EVGA 770 2GB with ACX Cooler (it uses the NCP4206)? And if so, can someone give a step by step process on how to do this, the directions confuse me and the last thing I want to do is ruin my card

I wouldn't recommend using it if you are running on air. Your best bet is to find a modded bios (should be able to find them in the 770 club thread) it will allow you to unlock your voltage to a mostly safe level of ~1.212V.

I'm not positive if you need a modded bios, but it is your best bet since extra voltage will easily max out your stock TDP.

Iv'e never seen that error before.

Are you on a reference PCB Titan/780? This will not work on custom PCB or 780Ti.

I would try switching out the bios, assuming you are on the right hardware.

also, if you are on air you shouldn't really be messing with this.

Last but not least, put your rig in your sig, it will help people help you.
