Hey,

I need your help guys!

I'm looking to buy 3 monitors and mounting it against my wall side by side. All 3 of these monitors will be in Landscape mode and I have two old ASUS VS248H-P monitors in Portrait mode.

These are the 3 monitors I looked into:
[*] LG 27EA83-D
[*] ViewSonic VP2770
[*] ASUS PB Series PB278Q
[*] Dell UltraSharp U2713HM
[*] Dell UltraSharp U2713H

If you have any better recommendations please do let me know.

All of them needs to have DisplayPort port.

I'll be doing the following things on the monitors:
  • Programing / Coding
  • Photoshopping
  • Virtualization
  • Gaming
  • Watching movies
  • School Work
  • xCode

Each monitor will be running on a different OS. One will be a Hackintosh, Ubuntu, & Windows 8.

I have been researching monitors, but I am having a hard time choosing one. So please help me guys!

Thank you very much. smile.gif

just a heads up, lots of people on here will dsay korean monitors, but its exteremly hard to get all 3 to show the same backlight levels, color temperature, and all that.

I would go with a korean monitor but it lacks Displayports and going through the warranty service will be a huge pain.

Then I would go Asus or LG, dell has notorisouly thick anti-glare coating, and for photoshop work, its terrible to use.

I have only had the U2713HM and U2713H, and both have their issues. The U2713H has more annoying issues (bad overdrive ghosting, the panel I got had awful backlight bleed and horrible black levels).

The U2713HM had crosshatching (very small faint diagonal lines visible on the screen from certain angles when looking at the monitor from a foot away or closer). The latest revision fixed that issue, but for some reason the newer revision has noticeably more overdrive ghosting, so it might not be as good for games.

I don't have experience with any of the others you have listed.

Thank you all for your responses!

Would you recommend the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II DPORT (Matte) 27" 2560X1440 Computer Monitor from IPS LED MONITORS, it has the display port and uses Samsung PLS Panel.

Yeah, it's a good monitor.

Just don't expect to overclock it.
