Asus ROG Crosshair V Formula boot issue

Thread Starter
Whenever I boot up my PC, it starts to look for a device for PCIE 2, which I don't have. So it says it can't find it, and it just boots from the hard drive. It doesn't affect anything, it just takes longer to boot.

I am also having problems getting the fan speed controller in the BIOS to work. If I change the speed of a fan, it just stays the same like I didn't do anything.

Anything would be helpful, thanks.

PCIE 2, could this be a simple bios settings (disabling?), not enough system info.

Low to mid grade mobo's usually only control PWM fans. The higher end boards have the option to control both PWM and DC fans.

Would be very helpful if you'd post your rig sig so everyone knew what you have for a system.
