Need a new wireless router!

My Netgear WGR614 v6 (http://support.netgear.com/product/WGR614v6) has been locking-up as of late, and requires at least a 3 reboots/day.
The lock-ups occur from simple websurfing/video streaming or gaming & VOIP (TeamSpeak).
When it comes to torrents I have to reduce the max number of connections to 100, otherwise the router instantly freezes up again.

What is your maximum budget?
$50 range or less.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
Not particularly, any major brand with good reviews and warranties will do!

What modes does your router need to support? (a/b/g/n/ac)
G and N.

How many devices should the router be expected to handle without slowing down?
10 at max. Typically 4-5 at any given time.

What do devices do on your WiFi? (Gaming, Netflix, basic internet browsing, etc?)
All of the above, plus torrenting.

What speed do you get from your ISP? (In megaBITS per second. Estimates are fine)
15 Mbps download, 1 Mbps upload

What kind and how many ports does the router need to have? (100 mbps, 1 gigabit, etc)
2+ ports, 100 Mbps ports are just fine I don't typically do file transfers through the network.

What's the farthest from the router that a client could be and still need to operate? (Same room? Next room? Across a house?)
Next room, range isn't too important in a small apartment.

Does the router need to support open source/aftermarket firmware? (DD-WRT, tomato, etc)
No preference. Stock firmware that receives updates is good enough for me.

Is there anything else we need to know? (Special features it needs to have like a firewall, etc?)
USB ports for hassle free wireless printing would be nice!

I've owned my Cisco E4200 loaded with dd-wrt v24 for about a year now and am really happy with it. Bought the unit refurbished for about $80 straight from Cisco.
