And yes the primary reason I went with the Intel SSD was the warranty...and from what I have seen from the reviews it isn't much behind the other SSD's you mention...at least not that I would notice at those kinds of speeds.
As for the board, when I looked the G45 got some good reviews and no bad ones. I will do just a little overclocking and I do like the design.
Normally I am an ASUS fanboy, but reading some of the recent reviews of their boards on the Egg and around the net, they seem to being have a drop in quality, so I figured I would try the MSI route this time.
Provided my CPU and memory don't fry if it sucks I can always send it back.
Ah yes; Intel has an amazing warranty. You wont regret it.
I also agree; i think that board looks pretty sweet lol. Honestly if they had a version just like this G45 but maybe even better than the Mpower say like a tri SLI version... i would probably consider. I really like the aesthetics of the board.
And alright; i may disagree with you because people on the Egg arent really that educated at diagnosing problems compared to here on OCN or another forum but.... definitely youre not making a bad choice at all. Especially if youre just going for a mild overclock; youll be more than fine. I think where it really matters is when people are pushing their board to the limits like going for 4.9ghz+ OC's. I dont think that really matters to you in your case.
