XBox 360 End of Life in 2016 - Questions

Since Microsoft announced the 360 end of life cycle will be 2016, I could not find specific answers to some questions I'm sure others have as well. I tried to find them in some articles, but no one has stated for sure what this really means.

Does that mean all of your downloaded XBox Live Arcade games will no longer be playable or can you play them in single player mode always?

What about retail games, is single player mode still playable or is just the multi-player not?

Will this mean that none of the games on the 360 be playble then or soon after that and just be worthless games no one can play?

Thanks.

We won't know until it's 2016, but in theory if they just switch off Xbox Live access for 360 users:
Arcade games should still be playable without Xbox Live, along with single player games.
Without XBL, online multiplayer games are unplayable. The console will still have purpose for local gaming though.

If Xbox Live is all they switch off, retail games should still work fine. People play Xbox 360 without internet access, so these are fine.
Such a shame to see the support end for a console which has lasted so long sadsmiley.gif.

The same thing will happen to the 360 as it did for the original. All they will do is switch off Live. Most Xbox arcade games are single player so they will be fine. Retail games will only have single player, split screen and if the game supports LAN play/System Link.

Downloaded XB360 games: Might be downloadable on XBone however if M$ goes the same route as before, you will Not be able to play on live with those games
