i kinda miss having a tablet, and i am currently able to get the tab 2 for 38 % off of original price, but is it worth it? i'm thinking mainly for browsing and movies, and i will flash a custom rom, yet it is quite ****ty compared to my s4 tongue.gif does anyone have experience with this little thing? will it be fine for my use, or will it lag? tongue.gif

It's a decent little tablet, and it'd be fine for browsing and watching movies.
But I suppose it all depends on the price. How much is it in comparison to a Nexus 7?

995 NOK vs 2500 NOK, quite a noticeable difference tongue.gif

Well, that converts to £97, so then yeah. I'd definitely say its worth it if you're in the market for a tablet.
Couldn't say I've used one.

I used to have the first Galaxy Tab that come out a few years ago now, I hated it if I'm honest. But that was probably because it didn't have a tablet OS on it, it just seemed like a really big phone at the time.

I would definitely recommend the Galaxy tab 2 7.0. I have one and it will work fine for what you plan to use it for. I got curious a few days ago and compared it's speed to a friend of mines Nexus 7 and in most cases the Galaxy tab was faster despite the lower specs. I thought about putting a custom rom on my tab too but I really didn't need to do that to remove any bloatware. (I have the Wi-Fi version so I can't guarantee that the 3G/4G versions won't have bloatware on them added by carriers.) Plus if you use a custom rom you'll loose Samsung's amazing video and photo editor (These are not the stock Android ones). I'd say go for it.

I think that the galaxy tab 2 is a very good tablet. It has a dual core 1ghz processor and will play 1080p videos no problem. It is even able to play most games without lag. I own both the galaxy tab 7 original and the tab 2 and both are still very usable.

It is an excellent tablet, even though a couple of years old. Both of my parents have it (I bought it for them) and my daughter and I used to have it. One thing to note is color reproduction for video playback is excellent (better than the original Nexus 7).
