Building New Gaming Setup (Give Me Some Ideas If Any)

Ok so Im currently working with:

i7 920 (C0/C1) Bloomfield @ Stock 2.67 with a Cooler Master Hyper N cooler
EVGA X58 Classified 3 way sli (worst glitched filled board Ive ever experienced)
ASUS GTX570 DirectCUII
6 GB Mushkin Redline DDR3 1600 Memory (6,7,6,18 timings)
Antec 1200
Corsair TX850W Power supply
Velociraptor 300GB drive
Windows Vista 64 Bit Home Premium

The following will carry over to my new build and do not need need to be ordered:

ASUS VG248QE
Ducky 9008G2 (Cherry mx reds) w/ PDT keycaps
Sennheiser PC363d headset
Rosewill BLACKHAWK Ultra SUPERTOWER case
Antec hcp platinum 1000 watt psu

Now. The question is... what should I go for... I dont want any AMD products in my computer because I prefer Intel...

I was thinking...

Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116492

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131802

Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 140mm and 120mm SSO CPU Cooler
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608024

ARCTIC MX-2 (30g) Carbon-Based Thermal Compound, Non-Electricity Conductive, Non-Capacitive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186040

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (9-11-11-31 Timings)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231564

ASUS GTXTITAN-6GD5 GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB 384-bit GDDR5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121724

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116992

Now if someone would like to convince me not to buy any of the above items feel free to do so.
Please keep in mind that money is not a concern for me in my build.
Now that doesnt mean Im going to blow 8,000 plus dollars upgrading to 4k res so dont get any ideas.

Also... Im building this to destroy future games as well as my current games like Planetside 2 and Company of Heroes 2 which are more CPU dependent... with the rampage iv I give myself some room to upgrade to sli Titans if needed. I also do video encoding and music studio work so I need the CPU / MEM / GPU power...

I'd suggest getting the 780 because it's cheaper and performs almost as well as the titan. (SLI anyone?)

I'd also suggest waiting until IVY-E releases so that you can get the 3930K cheaper, hopefully.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but 16GB will do you just fine for video encoding and music studio work.

With some powerful components like this though, I'd suggest either building a custom loop or getting some quality fans like Scythe GT AP-15s.
The D14 is pretty much the best air cooler you can get though.

Do you plan on OCing?

Unless you plan on going for more than 2 way SLI, you might want to look into a cheaper board. Don't get me wrong, great board, but if you aren't going to utilize all it has to offer, you might as well save a few bucks.

Might as well go for the 4930k now. It's now available on Newegg now. I ordered mine tonight... actually last night...tongue.gif The 4930k is currently only $10 more than the 3930k on Newegg.

I didnt realize that the 4930k dropped... interesting... It doesnt seem too much faster than the 3930k though from what Ive seen...

I might get the 3930k once the price drops a little... we'll see...

I figured that would be your best bet. If it doesn't drop within a month, I'd say go ahead and get one. If it doesn't drop price within a month, I doubt it will drop in price. And you don't want to always be waiting for a price drop, otherwise you won't ever get anything.

MetalRacer OC'd his 4930k at 5.2 with one of the recent IB-e BIOS for the Asus RIVE mobo... which is the board you are interested in. I think Asus already released another BIOS after MetalRacer posted his OC.

I may not even overclock that much... I'll have to see... florida heat doesnt play nice with OC's... even with air conditioning on in the house...

And Id be running it on air without any water cooling solution...

I dont see how I could even get close to 5 ghz with air cooling, I think it would be too hot... then again I probably feel that way because of my OC experiences with my 920 C0/C1 Bloomfield rofl... thing is like a volcano...
