overclocking better on a different mobo?

Curious to know. I have a gigabyte ud5 board with a fx8350 oc'd to 4.6ghz. Any higher wont stay stable bumping up the vcore. Will switching to a Asus crosshair v formula z help increase stability of obtaining a higher oc'd considering it has more oc features? Or do I just have a bad chip?

I had the 8350 on the formula-z from what I noticed the average overclock was 4.5 ghz! Your board isnt bad at all maybe your chip cant do anymore? No ofeence I think the formula-z is just a tad overrated~ Espically at that price!
And Btw- I just hate you for having that case!!! Iam dying to get it~biggrin.gif

I think it depends on the mosfets used and quality of the phase's on the motherboard.

All iam saying is this- After owning the Formula-z I think the price schould be around lets say $165- $180 tops! $225 for that board? No way id much rather pick up a Gigabyte m5 sniper! Just my opinion

Thanks for your response. And you should get one! I don't think I will be switching/getting rid of this case for a long time.
