Question for non-K users.

Thread Starter
In the coming year, I might be in the market for an upgrade. I'm not concerned with overclocking much anymore, so I just want a simple processor that has some good longevity and will be able to run games. (I plan to use my PC more for gaming eventually.) My original plan is to get a Xeon E3-1240v3. (I use a dedicated card.)

So do you think a non-K processor would help give me the performance I need?

A Xeon?! bigeyedsmiley.png Bit of overkill there bro. An i7 will suit you needs for many years to come. Here, a non-K for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116900

Um, okay, so both of you DO realize that the E3 1240v3 is the same as the i7 4770 (minus the graphics)? Right?

The Xeon is about $35 cheaper. rolleyes.gif
