Viable Intel stock fan replacements? - Page 5

Good to know. I had no info. There's an empty page for it on the forum somewhere I ran across. if you drop that note in there It would likely be appreciated by others. Really really big cooler to behave that poorly. Still, it's dirt cheap, and has a good bearing on it. Was it loud? If it's super quiet it still might make a decent fire and forget server fan, especially with the low profile.

This thing is not an All in one watercooling system, it's just a single component. That thing won't run without a pump, reservoir, hosing, fittings, and processor plate. You may be saving up a lot longer than you think. Be sure to price out the whole rig. I looked at watercooling a VGA card, and the processor plate alone was over a hundred bucks. You may spend more than the cost of a new equivalent machine making this go.

Component watercooling setups are also quite involved in setting up. Daunting even.

Watercooling is also wasted on a mere i3. If you're going to drop that kind of change, more CPU is a better investment. If you're not extremely familiar with things like tools and PC building in general this may overwhelm you.

If you just gotta have white, you could buy an all in one water cooling system and just paint it. Far less work, far less money.

Yeah. Im probably going to need 300ish dollars for the whole watercooling rig and new cable sleeves. Cable sleeves is my priority right now. Im probably going to spend a chunk of money cus I also want a new Z87 motherboard which is also going to make me need to get a new processor :/. I might have enough if I sell a bunch of stuff.

For your situation I would look into the CM Hyper 101. I have it in my HTPC and it's silent and is a nice upgrade from the stock cooler.

Really? It exists? I'm not sure about the bearing. They may be lying about the bearing but they do they say it's a hydro bearing. Well it's made from aluminium so i didn't expect much. Besides it's only 3$ and still 10C lower than stock cooler. Actually i mean 50C load redface.gif
Also, loud it's not. It's not controllable but the noise is okay.
Unfortunately it only fits from 3U and up, not for 2U it just barely clears the top of the chassis

OP i also have other suggestions
