samsung should seriously consider putting a high dpi display in their 15" ativ book 6, that would be far more ideal
So are you going to say the same thing about the 2013 retina macbook pros? The 13 inch model will be using HD5000 and the 15 inch will be using GT3e HD5200.
By the way, Intel's graphics for this generation are a HUGE leap over prior year's HD4000. The GT3e matches the GT740 and GT650 while having much better battery life. Again - I don't expect you to say "freaking stupid" when you realize that none of the macbook pros (even retina) will be using discrete this year. Have fun eating your words next month.
Again, Iris Pro GT3E is an amazing performer. Discrete isn't needed now with Iris Pro level of performance - it's quite a feat from intel, actually. AMD and nvidia should definitely be worried there because intel is getting to the point that their best iGPUs are rivaling some discrete GPUs. As an added bonus, the new macbook pros this year will have substantially better battery life than last years due to the combination of Iris Pro, lack of dGPU, and Haswell. I'm looking forward to them.Edited by xoleras - 9/12/13 at 1:28pm
