I am still on fence with this game. I haven't played beta but I would be interested in trying it out. I just hope it doesn't go the way of GW2 and just start to lose its charm and just become boring. I think what killed it for me was the fact that things were so much based on cosmetics and not being super powerful. I can invest hundreds and hundreds of hours for this cool sword that does the SAME freaking damage as one that I can make in like 5 minutes which is NOT OK. If this game becomes a cosmetic battle and doesn't focus on making powerful, cool gear that makes you a BEAST then its a no go for me.

The engineer class looks the most fun to me which is weird for me to say because I typically gravitate towards pure tanks like warriors, paladins, etc. If anyone has their own personal, objective experience they can provide on the game I would love to hear it. Comparisons would be helpful too. My MMO experience is WoW, GW2, Asheron's Call, and DAoC so any comparison outside of those games will probably be lost on me. thumb.gif

I wouldn't worry about the comparison to GW2 gear, make no mistake wildstar is about gear progression and making yourself powerful, not cosmetics. I've been in beta, it's a fun game that I have very high hopes for, however I am seriously worried about the june release date. The game doesn't just need polishing and bug fixing, it needs some system overhauls and there just isn't time for that. Class balance will likely be way off at launch, warplots may not even make in release, among other issues.

Issues aside, it's the most fun mmo I have played (wow, daoc, gw2) and has an amazing amount of potential in both pve and pvp. There will be issues at launch, but 6 months down the road it could be an amazing game. Maybe Carbine will surprise me at launch tho, but there is just so little time now...

Slowly getting better, it's one of Carbines priorities.

I've been signed up for the beta for some time now with no luck, but I'm still very interested in this game. The game seem to have a nice humor theme to it which I find refreshing in the mmo market, kinda of a Borderlands vibe. And from what I've seen they spent most of their time working on end game material, being that is what makes or breaks MMOs.

Still needs more work in terms of net code and graphics optimisation. I shouldn't be needing to turn down game settings when running with a OC'd 4770k and a OC'd 780 Ti @ 1080p lol.

No SLI support at launch btw.
