For me, I like some of the Vizio offerings when set side by side with other brand TVs of similar price. Mine even came with VGA connection and single 3.5mm audio input for connecting a computer, and that's from 4 years ago.

when doing that you need to look at the settings they use also most stores tweak the settings to make the tvs look better in the store enviroment that wont be the same when in a living room or bedroom. I love my Vizio also mines about 4 years old at the time 600usd for a 42inch 1080p thier tvs seem priced better but look as good as higher priced ones.

So things like hz, input lag etc dont matter? I should just pick a size and get the best reviewed one that fits my budget?

None of those post processing things matter. They're terrible for game play. In fact, when you switch your TV song setting to "game mode" it'll switch off any of those "120hz" or "240hz" post processes they incur processing time and noticeable lag.

sure you do geta decent screen though. Sure, it's just for consoles, but these are next Gen consoles that'll have various 1080p games. Make sure you get a tv with high contrast and sharp color reproducible to really bring out the details.

Highly recommend you read through some of the reviews included in that linki posted earlier. Not necessarily to find the exact model, but to learn what qualities to look for in what makes a great TV.

Picture quality that speaks for itself far outweighs any marketing lingo.

PS: I personally like 120hz+ processing for movies now though. Not for gaming, but for TV and movies, I prefer it good thing TVs let you assign settings to different inputs
