Basically i didnt use correct amount of cpu paste and it idled around 30c, but soon as i started prime temps shot up to 100c and the air coming from the heatsink fans was mild, not hot like youd expect.

When I mounted up the pump onto the cpu, it was really tight, probably missed not even a centimeter so I had to force it a little, I really don't think that's the problem cause it looks seated correctly but I'll definetly look up into reseating the damn thing. Just need this stupid 700gig steam folder to transfer -.-\

EDIT: still priming the thing, showing up 67 degrees on hwmonitor..

When I overclock, I know there's alot of things to adjust but I mainly just take clock up and voltage up.. Maybe the way I overclock is wrong?

There are other settings that can help, i made a sandy bridge guide its in my sig have a look if yiu need help. Im on tablet so cant type much.

The corsair unit should only let you tighten so much and should instruct you to mount from bottom right to top left to top right to bottom left in terms of screws. But we'll see how you get on after a reseat

Yeah I was looking at it exactly right now ! ^_^

I might only be able to give some news tomorrow, getting late over here and got to wake up early tomorrow frown.gif

You guys are really awesome! I trully hope it's only some kind of reseating thing, I would be REALLY PISSED OFF if I would get another defective unit..

Stupid gadgets, wish I could've got an h110 instead zzz already bought the sp120 fans I thought everything could've worked fine in 1 shot lmao...

85% of the transfer!

Unfortunately the closed corsair units can be more trouble than they're worth. Good luck!

PICTURE SAYS ALLL!!!!!

Anyways, like mentionned in your guide I've started and put everything on 1.2vcore.. I feel like a derp loll. Running on prime @ full load not overclocked at 45 degrees, FEELS WAY BETTER THAN 70!

Thank god, it was just a reseating thing..

I'll give some news about my overclock if you don't mind! (but tomorrow I really have to go to bed hahaha)

Thank you so much, everyone for helping me! At first when I made a post I wouldn't of thought that I'd get help that fast. I'm really impressed and I'll recommend this website to everyone from now on!

EDIT:

http://gyazo.com/0e58c3861b968f4475c95f635b85cdb4

this is what it looks like right now. My turbo boost seems to work as it was not working when I had bucked up my latest settings, at 3.7ghz and I didn't even ask for it o.O

EDIT2: I've just noticed the error in the prime, needs more voltage I guess? It's setup at manual 1.20 volt I guess that's when the turbo boost kicks in it needs more juice but fails, right?

EDIT3: It crashed.. Here's the new thing, I just want it to be stabled atm..

I'm so confused lol my chip crashed at 1.20 with turbo boost on?

wow I have never seen thermal paste that covered as yours did, oh well at least you got it going now.
good luck and have fun with overclocking. band.gif

most people including myself turn off turbo boost when the cpu is overclocked.
