Now I'm just stuck on whether to buy a 7950/7970 so I can crossfire and have a second folding card. Screw waiting for the 9970/R2-D2 whatever its called to be launched. Exchange rate will make it a bit too expensive to afford at launch (780's currently cost around $1000 equivalent here)

If your pretty much ANYWHERE outside the USA you have to assume the position when it comes to buying hardware. Its such a joke.

I love that hahah thumb.gif

Anyway I spent my day off installing linux and F@H on an old dell rig (has a 9800gt in it lol) in hopes to get something i can run 24/7... My main rig's 5ghz overclock is stable enough to run 24/7 buuuuuut I'd rather not.

After borking one copy on linux and re installing i finally got F@H installed... But could not for the life of me get GPU enabled in f@h and i was getting about 480 points per day rating (im new to folding, not sure if thats a good stat to judge off) Reinstalled windows (vista ew) and am currently installing F@H smile.gif

Does this rig even sound worth running 24/7???

I might be way off but that gpu would only get about 5k ppd at most, and it would most likely use a lot of electricity. What cpu does it have?

I'll be pushing to get 250k points over the 2 days. My rig is ready(ish)

TC requires to fold 24/7 if I'm not mistaken - something my electricity bill can't take :/

TC requires 20/7 folding, so you have four hours of grace per day. Still may be quite expensive though.
