XFX GTX 275 Overheating ! - Page 3

Thread Starter
I re-applied the paste using a star 'X' and '+' the temps seems to have improved by 2 or 3c, but i noticed what is causing the issue my graphics memory temps spike at 105-117c for a millisecond then return to normal which gpu-z couldn't detect i discovered it using rivatuner 's hardware monitoring as it confuses my gpu core temp with the gpu memory temp ( it reads mem temp as core temp ) which is ok as i calculate the difference when settings profiles..
SS:

You'll notice that the core temp (which is actually mem temp) spiked @105c while the ambient temp @117c
I think those are the ones covered with the thermal pads which i didn't replace :S (used old ones).

If that is the case, you may need to use paste instead of the pads, or replace them with new ones.
