Agreeing with mark_thaddeus , Johnny Guru has been my review resource for quite some time now, I learnt a lot from the website and considering other sites have had guru train them to review PSU's (and use the review equipment), I think we can safely tag 'Expert' on there
My TX750 is still going strong, but with my desire for modular, these new ones look to be real contenders for my upgrade for better cable management
I see so many differing views on various OEM's and manufacturers, and the fact remains, the vast majority of units sold don't have a problem, but also don't often result in positive posts on forums.
Complaints however do rack up big post counts, and sweeping comments like Oubadah's 'Seasonic PSUs are riddled with coil whine' are not incredibly accurate, unless of course Oubadah has himself had a couple of hundred units all displaying the same issue.
Coil whine used to happen in tv's, if I remember rightly it's the vibration of the copper wire not being quite tight enough around the core.
but thats just my brain going off on one
