The current issues are just things new technologies always deal with early on. (burn in, water damage, ambient lighting, etc..)

Exactly. The technology hasn't caught up to the hype. So...it's overrated.

Guess I'm one of the few that has a good screen. I even put some Top Gear on it, and wow does the colors just POP.

some just may not have had enough exposure to the technology yet and didn't get "wowed" during their brief time with it. OLED will completely overhaul our home movie quality. Blurays will look amazing. Colors, uniformity, contrast....if only tv manufactures would focus on pushing OLED first over 4k -_-

Yeah I feel that way too. The majority of people don't know the difference, and can't tell the difference between screens. Some even ask if its a retina display, at which point I just walk away cause I can't deal with that level of stupidity.

Sony had OLED tvs even years back, they were small as heck and cost an arm and a leg. But damnnn was that thing gorgeous. I still remember walking into the sony store and I just couldn't believe the thing.

I agree, 4K is really not needed at this point. But it'll sell better than that 3D trend, or those smart tvs.

Offcause oled is much superior to lcd! Lcd were at there live cycle end few years ago allready, that's way the led backlight appears on the seen to let it relife a few more years! I even prefer
Plasma before LCD when it comes to TV.

I just saw the ACIII trailer playing on a Vita... got a 'meh' from me. No real pop to the colours... pretty crisp but nothing an LCD couldn't do. It convinced me to hold out for a slim
That and I can't get a new white one... I hate fingerprints and gunk.

Looking forward to Mercenaries though.
