Dim or Bright?

In the office, I am in a well lit area. Should I use dimmer or brighter settings on my displays?

Eye experts recommend having your room lighting half as bright as your monitor to reduce eye strain yet still keep the monitor as a distinguishable focus point smile.gif

Edit: I didn't really answer your question... I'd say keep your monitor at full brightness and try to reduce the surrounding light a bit (if possible)
